Goodbye Colleen

Today is our administrative assistant Colleen Martin’s last day. We wanted to publically thank her for all her hard work on behalf of IRW. We have enjoyed working with her over the last two years, and wish her all the best for her future endeavors.

Administrative Assistant – Institute for Research on Women

Reports to the Associate Director of the Institute for Research on Women (IRW) – School of Arts and Sciences. Responsible for managing increasingly complex financial and budget functions; coordinating program, personnel, and event logistics; and general administrative support. Manages the unit’s accounts and purchasing, internal and external grants, and other financial matters, and keeps detailed records on expenditures. Provides financial documents including regular, detailed budget analyses for unit’s Director and Associate Director. Serves as department liaison for SAS administration to HR and payroll functions; responsibilities including navigation of the RIAS III human capital management system, new hires and payments for IRW seminar fellows, work-study and other student employees, and management of bi-weekly payroll. Coordinates daily operations of the unit, handling day-to-day problems to ensure smooth operations of the office, and develops systems to make the office run smoothly. Directs logistical planning and procedures related to IRW programs and events, including space assignments and catering. Provides high-level support to the unit’s Director and Associate Director. Performs other duties as required.
