Public Engagement Project Event -- OpEd Workshop with Thaler Pekar

Do you have experience and expertise relevant to issues that concern you? Do you want more opportunities to share your knowledge and understanding, and reach people outside of your echo chamber? One of the most reliable ways to contribute to public discourse and establish yourself as a thought leader on your subject is with a well-crafted OpEd. In "Writing OpEds that Invite Action," Thaler Pekar will guide you in developing and amplifying your ideas and passion. This highly interactive program will assist you to develop your critical message into a compelling OpEd that connects with the audience, frames the issue, and invites action.

You will learn fresh and innovative strategies for:

Engaging readers and listeners
Establishing your expertise
Inspiring action on your issue
Optimizing your OpEd for multiple audiences and outlets
Identifying the appropriate outlets and submitting your OpEd.

You will leave this workshop with a fully drafted OpEd along with practical reference materials, and a list of appropriate OpEd outlets.
